I never read this kind of book before. It is well documented and offers a fascinating view into the making of a postwar, globe-level politician. The connections to Russia (and others) have important consequences today, but as a political biography of Schroeder alone is the book a worthy read. I'm 1/3rd through.

Nice read
4 stars
This is an entertaining, easy to read and instructive book, relatively well crafted and with nice examples. The emphasis on modularity is a bit boring in the end. It has a surprising scientific aspect (to me), I didn't expect so many references.
